Over 1,800 resale flats sold in April
HDB resale volumes were up 10.3 per cent last month as prices continued to inch downwards, according to figures from SRX Property yesterday.
Some 1,828 resale flats were sold last month, an increase from the 1,657 units transacted in March, and 13.5 per cent higher than a year ago.
The number of units that changed hands stood at its highest since October 2012.
RECORD
SRX Property said: "The volume represents a record high since the recent cooling measures of additional buyer's stamp duty and total debt servicing ratio were introduced in 2013."
Overall resale prices continued their relatively flat trend of the past year, dipping 0.1 per cent last month.
The moderation in SRX Property's flash estimate of HDB resale prices was mainly caused by five-room flats, whose resale prices slipped 0.9 per cent during April.
However, the resale prices of three-room and executive flats rose 0.6 per cent and 0.1 per cent respectively.
