For Madam Anisah Mohamed, 36, this year's TNP Big Walk promises to be a big family affair: Some 10 of her family members, including her nephews and nieces, are expected to join her in the SG50 Jubilee Big Walk 2015.

"I'm looking forward to the walk as there will be a new trail where we get to see some historic places and buildings," Madam Anisah, who works in the healthcare industry, said.

The Jubilee edition features a commemorative trail leading through 25 historic locations within the civic district and Marina Bay area.

Some of the areas that participants will pass through include Fort Canning Park, The Padang and the Jubilee Bridge.

Madam Anisah, who also participated in last year's event, said: "This year's Big Walk will also be a history and educational lesson for the kids."

And the fun doesn't end with the finishing line at the Gardens bFy the Bay. Organisers have lined up a carnival, complete with games, performances and three bouncy castles to entertain the young and the young at heart.

Local artist Sebastian Tan will reprise his popular role as the Broadway Beng at the carnival too.

Said Madam Anisah: "I'm excited about the new trail but for the kids, they are looking forward to try out the games booth and bouncy castle."

Mrs Celestine Lim, 40, a finance manager decided to take part in this year's big walk as it is a round up to the SG50 celebrations.

"I'm looking forward to the Big Walk... my children, even my teenage son, will definitely enjoy the carnival," said Mrs Lim, who is participating in the Jubilee Big Walk with her husband and their two sons.
