Two trapped in car after Outram Park accident

They were a stone's throw away from Singapore General Hospital (SGH) when they met with a car accident yesterday.
The accident at the junction of Outram Park and Outram Road involved two cars.
A red Mitsubishi was making a turn at Outram Park when it collided with a BMW, severely damaging both cars.
The BMW driver, who wanted to be known as Mr Huang, was carrying two passengers in the backseat. He told Lianhe Wanbao that there was a couple in the other car.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force had to use hydraulic rescue tools to extricate the people in the red car.
Mr Huang's passengers, who are foreign workers, were also injured.
