A man walked into a McDonald's in New York on Tuesday morning with a bloodied shirt and a knife sticking out of his back.

The stabbing victim calmly spoke on the phone as alarmed patrons started screaming.

Mail Online reported a witness as saying: "He was on the phone, I’m pretty sure he was on the phone talking to somebody in his family or a loved one, he was talking to them and telling them it might be the last time he’s speaking to them."

Patrons rushed to help the man, who had been seen fighting with several men a block away on Sutphin Boulevard minutes earlier, CBS reported.

Fox8 reported that the man in his 50s later collapsed and was taken to Jamaica Hospital. He is in stable condition.
