Steer cool bots through maze
Unleash the tech geek in you at TNP's Readers Carnival, where HUAWEI's latest gadgets will be on display
FUN: Look out for HUAWEI’s Sphero booth at the carnival, where you can navigate a robot through a maze with the new G7 (above).
Want to get up to speed with the newest devices?
We've got a treat for you at The New Paper Reader's Carnival presented by HUAWEI.
From Friday to Sunday, visit the HUAWEI Sphero booth at the carnival and you can get your hands on some of the latest devices.
Try out the brand's new phone, the HUAWEI G7.
For just five coupons, you can use the G7 as a console to move a robot (either an Orbotix's Sphero 2.0 or an Ollie) through a 9 sq m maze.
The objective is to control the robots and navigate through the labyrinth.
The Sphero 2.0 is a round white sphere that rolls according to the direction indicated by the user on the phone application.
It can light up in several different colours of the player's choice. It is also waterproof and has a 30m range.
The Ollieis cylindrical in shape with two tyres on each end, allowing it to move fast while having strong grip.
Both robots are distributed by Revo IT.
Once you've played the game, why not check out HUAWEI's other cool devices, such as the Mate 7, G7, Honor 3C Lite and other IT devices?
Also, look forward to a photo contest. Participants who share their favourite carnival moments with HUAWEI will stand a chance to win the Honor 3C Lite.
The G7 will be released tomorrow, just one day before The New Paper Readers Carnival.
The phone has a variety of useful and fun features, such as Ultra Power Saving.
The Ultra Power Saving function helps you preserve battery life by turning off all unnecessary functions when it is down to 10 per cent, allowing it to last another 24 hours.
And thanks to the Ultra Snapshot feature, you can take photos more easily and quickly.
To take a photo while the phone screen is locked, simply point the camera at the subject and push a button to shoot.
HUAWEI head of device, Singapore, Mr Low Han Thong, said of this exciting collaboration with Revo IT and TNP: "Our belief is that we don't just say we enhance your lifestyle. We will be the ones to set it up for your real experience."
"We believe in sharing the capabilities of the phone through interacting with the public."
So join in the fun this weekend.
Simply cut out and collect coupons in The New Paper every day in order to enjoy the maze game and stand a chance to win a brand new G7 at the carnival.
As a bonus, you have two today to add to your collection on Page 2.
