Toddler dies after being flung out of car in crash - family shares grief online

A 20-month-old toddler died in a tragic accident on Friday evening (Feb 20), after he was flung out of a car that had skidded on the North-South Highway.

According to Alor Gajah polices' Chief Supt Muhammad Ismail Muhammad Yusuf, the baby died on the spot.

The toddler, Muhammad Anas Nazhan, was travelling with mum Norhayati Md Isa, 30, and dad Shamsul Azwan Abu Bakar, 29, who was driving the car.

They were travelling from Malacca to Kuala Lumpur. The vehicle skidded to the left side of the road and overturned at the 201.6km stretch of the north-bound side of the North-South Highway.

Family members of Muhammad Anas shared their grief on social media.

 

 

The toddler's body was sent to Alor Gajah Hospital while the mother was treated at the Malacca Hospital for "serious injuries".

The father suffered only minor injuries.
