The crash involved a tipper truck, a prime mover, and three lorries.

A multi-vehicle pile-up on the Tampines Expressway (TPE) left six people injured, after five heavy vehicles were involved in a collision on Aug 22.

Police have confirmed that the accident involved a tipper truck, a prime mover, and three lorries.

The accident occurred at about 9.40am along the TPE towards Seletar Expressway (SLE), shortly after the Punggol Road exit, reported Shin Min Daily News.

A 27-second video posted on the SGRV Facebook group shows the aftermath of the pileup, with shards and vehicle parts strewn across the road.

Police officers and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) personnel were deployed to the scene. According to electronic signboards along the expressway, three lanes were closed during the incident, causing significant traffic congestion.

A 34-year-old male lorry passenger and a 33-year-old male prime mover driver were taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital in a conscious state. Two male lorry drivers, aged 33 and 36, are assisting the police with investigations.

Four others sustained minor injuries but declined to be taken to hospital.
