Trailer carrying silo skids along Balestier road
A trailer carrying what seems to be a silo skidded along Balestier Road, blocking two lanes of traffic on March 21.
In a Facebook post, the silo is seen lying on the trailer but spread across the road, with one end even reaching the pavement.
A man in an orange shirt, presumably the driver, is seen observing and pacing around the scene, with the police arriving later on.
Many netizens were amused by the scene, with some familiar with that stretch of road saying they tend to avoid it as it was known to be heavily congested with vehicles.
One claimed that it was the same street a lorry had run into a bridge that was below its height, causing a major disruption for months until a new bridge was constructed.
Police confirmed that they were alerted to an accident involving a trailer that was believed to have self-skidded along Balestier Road towards Thomson Road.
No injuries were reported, and a 31-year-old man is assisting with investigations.
Police investigations are ongoing.
