Video of schoolgirls attacking fellow student goes viral
A schoolgirl was brutally set upon by a group of female schoolmates in an attack that was recorded on a mobile phone.
The 77-second clip has gone viral and is now the subject of Malaysian police investigation, The Star reported.
The students are believed to be from a school in Sarawak.
The incident is believed to have taken place in April, and a report was lodged last month.
In the video, the victim is seen standing among the group before the assault.
Headscarf torn
Suddenly other girls gang up and attack her, tearing off the victim’s headscarf.
The girls are also seen dragging, kicking and pulling the victim’s hair.
The victim is seen raising her hands to protect her face.
After the assault, the sobbing victim is left alone on the top of the staircase.
Furious netizens managed to trace the Facebook account of one of the attackers. The profile has since been deactivated, the report added.
