Warm, humid nights and rainy mornings expected in first half of July
Expect rain in the mornings and warm, humid nights over the next two weeks, due to prevailing south-west monsoon conditions, said the Meteorological Service Singapore (MSS) on July 1.
Daily maximum temperatures are likely to range between 33 deg C and 34 deg C on most days, and may slightly exceed 34 deg C on a few days.
Temperatures may stay above 28 deg C on some nights, MSS said.
Short, thundery showers are expected over parts of the island in the late morning and afternoon on most days, with widespread thundery showers and gusty winds before dawn and in the morning on a few days.
MSS said there were localised, short and thundery showers over parts of the island on several days in the second half of June.
On June 28, regional convergence of winds brought moderate to heavy thundery showers over many areas of Singapore in the early afternoon.
The daily total rainfall of 69.3mm recorded in Woodlands that day was the highest rainfall recorded for the second fortnight of June 2025, MSS said.
The daily maximum temperatures during that period were between 32 deg C and 34 deg C on most days, with the highest at 35.3 deg C, recorded in Paya Lebar on June 22.
Most of Singapore experienced below-average rainfall during that period, MSS added.
"The area around Jurong West registered rainfall of 69 per cent below average, and the area around Admiralty registered rainfall of 63 per cent above average," it said.
