WATCH: Fire at Tampines St 43

A fire broke out at a 11th storey flat at Blk 496C Tampines St 43 this afternoon (Jan 1).
SCDF received a call at 1.24pm and sent two fire engines, one Red Rhino, an ambulance and a support vehicle.
When they arrived, the burning unit was locked and SCDF personnel gained entry using breaking tools.
They found that the fire was caused by items in one of the bedrooms.
The fire was quickly extinguished using a water jet.
There was no one injured.
Other residents told The New Paper the flat owners are out of town.
