'Waterfall' in Northshore Drive underground carpark amid torrential downpour

It rained so hard on April 13 that a "waterfall" appeared in the underground carpark at 409B Northshore Drive in Punggol.

Sheets of water can be seen cascading down from the ceiling in a video clip shared on the Punggol Northshore District Facebook page.

Some netizens jested that it was a free car wash and car owners should not miss out on the opportunity.

Barriers were put up to keep cars out of the affected area, which also started to flood.

In a clip shared by one of the commenters on the Facebook post, the water appeared to be coming from the crack in the overhead pipes.

On the evening of April 13, Punggol Northshore District posted an update showing a worker repairing the affected pipe.
