All hail Obama: For fastest million Twitter followers record
Even Ironman's got nothing on him.
According to the Guinness World Records, President Barack Obama is now the person who has gained 1 million followers in the fastest time on Twitter.
Ironman star Robert Downey Jr. held the previous record for achieving that feat back in April 2014 in 23 hours and 22 minutes.
Obama smashed that with his own time of "less than five hours" on Monday (May 18).
With his office managing the Twitter account @BarackObama since 2007, the President of the United States rejoiced in his first tweet from an account that he now gets to manage on his own - @POTUS.
Guess who else was keen to know more about the @POTUS account (managed by whoever is the US president then)?
Former president Bill Clinton had a question, as his wife, Hilary is campaigning to run for office.
Mashable reported that the White House has promised tweets from @POTUS will come exclusively from Obama, who now has 2.26 million followers.
He has since tweeted four times and posted pictures taken during his visit to Camden and his commencement speech for the Coast Guard class of 2015.
