p>Malaysian politicians and their seemingly expensive watches are making a buzz online.

Mr R. Sri Sanjeevan (below), Malaysia's well-known anti-crime crusader, uploaded the pictures of watches on social media.

The Chairman of Malaysian Crime Watch Task Force (MyWatch), told liberal news portal Malaysiakini that it took him and his team about nine months to compile the list.

They photographed the senior officials and the politicians wearing those watches at different occasions and compared them with the price list on several watch manufacturers' websites.

The pictures have gone viral, his original Facebook post has over 17,500 like and 36,000 shares so far.

Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak was featured four times in the post.

The post claim that Najib's most expensive watch being the  RM165,000 (S$61,000) Hublot Big Bang King Power "Red Devils'' Manchester United limited edition.

Najib's cheapest watch?

A RM50,000 Hublot BB Black Magic Black Ceramics, the post claimed.

The prime minister's wife, Rosmah Mansor was also featured in the four times in the post.

The photos showed that Ms Rosmah has four watches and her Richard Mille Lady RM 007 "Diamond Cruncher" appears to be the most expensive among them.

They claimed it costs RM486,000.

Her cheapest would be the Hublot BB Black Magic 114 Diamonds which has been customized with Tutti Frutti Straps which cost RM79,200.

Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin, the son-in-law of former premier Abdullah Badawi was pictured wearing a RM160,000 Patek Philippe Nautilus.

Outspoken former premier Mahatir Mohamad, was also featured in the post.

He was pictured wearing Casio Protrek Triple Sensor Tide Graph, which cost RM1,020.

The post featured three members from the opposition party, the late former Kelantan Menteri Besar Nik Aziz Nik Mat, Democratic Action Party veteran Lim Kit Siang and PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim.

The post claim that Anwar, who is serving a five-year jail sentence for a sodomy conviction, was pictured wearing a RM7,650.

The opposition leader with the cheapest watch?

The post claim that Mr Lim was wearing a RM270, Seiko Chronograph SND363.

But Mr Sanjeevan stressed that it was not to imply that politicians were super rich.

Said Mr Sanjeevan: "I just want the public to know what kind of lifestyle these politicians are adopting. For example, Mr Mahathir does not wear a watch on some occasions.

"But look at the prime minister and others. On different occasions, they wear different watches."
