Enraged security guard stabs bank officer, slashes another

​A security guard ran amok stabbing and slashing officers in the bank he worked at in Taman Molek, Malaysia, yesterday (April 17).

The guard was so enraged after an argument with a bank officer,he took out a knife and stabbed him in the face and neck, causing the officer to bleed to death.

He also slashed a female officer. 

The guard was on duty on the first floor of the three-story bank building.

A witness said he was at the ground floor of the bank with his daughter.

“We heard someone screaming and customers running out of the bank. The guard came out holding a blood-stained knife,” he said.

The police said that the suspect, who is in his 40s, was detained at the scene. The knife was also recovered from him.

Seri Alam OCPD Supt Abdul Samad Salleh said: "The body of the bank officer has been sent to a hospital for post-mortem while the female officer is receiving treatment."

It was believed that the guard was upset over work-related matters according to the Deputy Inspector-General of Police. 

Datuk Seri Noor Rashid Ibrahim said: "He ran amok with a sharp weapon."

He added that the case would be investigated as murder.
