Man tells off drinking group and gets slashed
The group of men was drinking at the flat stairway around midnight on Tuesday (Oct 13).
They were causing a ruckus, so a 23-year-old man told them off.
That's when a brawl broke out at the Intan Baiduri People's Housing Projects (PPR) in a Kuala Lumpur town, The Sun Daily said.
Sentul district police chief Asst Comm R. Munusamy said:
"The 23-year-old victim was assaulted after he told off the drinking group.
"He was slashed five times on the head and thrice on his left hand and leg. He was sent to Hospital Selayang for treatment."
The victim is now in stable condition after surgery, Star Online reported.
ACP Munusamy said two of the five alleged attackers had been identified.
He added:
"We are trying to get in touch with two men, known only as Gani and Aravin, to assist in investigations."
