Shoplifter slits throat of Walmart employee who tried to stop him
In a shocking turn of events a man slit the throat of a Walmart employee who tried to foil his shoplifting attempt.
It happened at an outlet in China's Guangdong province 4.55pm on Thursday (June 11), reported NetEase.
The employee, a 27-year-old woman, had spotted the man attempting to steal goods and attempted to stop him from leaving the store .
But the man grabbed a knife from a shelf and used it to cut her throat. He then fled the store.
The woman, who was supposed to get married next month, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man's face was captured on closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras.
Police eventually arrested him in a village in Zhanjiang, reported Shanghaiist.
