Noriskandar had committed the offence in Jalan Skudai near Danga Bay and Rizab 13, Kampung Sri Paya Darat in Batu Pahat, The Star reported.

It was reported that Mr Yong's charred remains were found in Parit Raja after he was murdered in Jalan Skudai. Mr Yong, who was involved in plastic manufacturing, was last seen arguing with a man and woman near his home in Polo Park, Taman Iskandar.

Before the court went into session, Mr Liew Wei Kiat, 39, a Chinese daily photographer, was pushed to the ground by Noriskandar as he was being led into the courtroom. Mr Liew suffered minor injuries.
