Child sex abuse: Girl forced to have sex with more than 60 men

Six men were found guilty on Friday (July 24) in the UK of sexually abusing two teenage girls.

One of the girls, identified in court by the letter 'A', was forced to have sex with more than 60 men when she was aged 12 or 13.

Prosecutor Oliver Saxby told the court: "The scale of it is, you may agree, horrifying. ‘A’ estimated that she had sex with about 60 men – six zero – almost all Asian."

Troubled backgrounds

Both schoolgirls came from troubled backgrounds and were groomed by the men, who gave them alcohol, food and drugs in the town of Aylesbury, northwest of London, the trial heard.

"Notwithstanding that they were children, they spoke in terms of these men being their boyfriends. And they were passed from man to man – sometimes on a daily basis," said Mr Saxby.

'A' told police she complied because the men were "making your life a bit more exciting".

She told ITV News that she was first approached when she was 11.

"Then they started wanting my phone number, and they would want to take me to the cinema or park," she said. "Then we would have a drink together, and they would have sex with me."

The girls were conditioned to think it was "normal" and "natural", said Mr Saxby.

Rape, child prostitution

The abuse took place between 2006 and 2012.

In total, eleven men were hauled to court. They were accused of 51 sexual offences, including rape and child prostitution.

Six men were found guilty of their charges, while four men were found not guilty. The jury could not reach a verdict on the last man.

The men will be sentenced on September 7.
