A US man who had sex with a 14-year-old girl in a church in Pennsylvania as part of a vampire role-playing game has been sentenced to 10 years' probation. The game included drinking her blood.

Jonathan Ryan Davis (right), 22, pleaded guilty in November to a felony charge of statutory sexual assault, reported Pennsylvania newspaper Tribune Review.

Westmoreland County judge Richard McCormick Jr imposed the probation sentence for Davis on Thursday despite calls by prosecutors that he be imprisoned.

"At this point, the court is satisfied this sentence will meet the requirement of punishment, rehabilitation and the protection of the community," Mr McCormick said.

Davis met the teenage girl at a park along with some friends, where he was spotted kissing and touching her inappropriately, reported UK's the Daily Mail.

Davis also told police that he, the girl, and two other teenage girls drank blood drawn from their arms as part of a role-playing game he had read about online.

The couple then allegedly ducked into a church for a sex romp.

The incidents reportedly took place in December 2014. Davis was previously convicted in a juvenile court for impregnating a 12-year-old girl, reported CBS Local.
