Children being treated in a small hospital after a suspected toxic gas attack on a rebel-held town in Syria on Tuesday.

The death toll has risen to 72, including 17 women and 20 children, a monitoring group said yesterday.

United Nations chief Antonio Guterres called it a war crime but Russia said Syrian aircraft that carried out the strike hit part of a "terrorist" stockpile of "toxic substances" on the ground.
