Yishun accident involving bus, car leaves woman dead
The 23-year-old car passenger was unconscious when taken to hospital.
A 23-year-old female car passenger died in hospital after being involved in an accident between a car and a bus in Yishun early on Aug 2.
The police and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to the accident, which happened at the junction of Yishun Avenue 2 and Yishun Central 1, at about 5.35am that day.
She was unconscious when taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. A 47-year-old male car driver and another female passenger, aged 20, were conscious when taken to the same hospital.
In a photo of the accident, a silver car is seen at the rear of a Tower Transit bus, with its windows shattered and its right-side doors left ajar as SCDF officers attend to the emergency.
Police investigations are ongoing.
