Two police officers hurt in another Paris shooting
Two police officers are said to be in critical condition after they were shot by a man in southern Paris today (Jan 8), a police source told Reuters.
AFP reported that the man was believed to be wearing a bullet-proof vest. The suspect fired on police officers with an automatic rifle - seriously injuring one of them.
French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said that the man was still on the run.
It is unclear if this attack is related to the brutal attack on satirical weekly newspaper Charlie Hebdo, where gunmen killed 12 people.
While seven people have already been arrested in the ongoing investigation, French police are still carrying out the manhunt for two brothers suspected of carrying out yesterday's shootings.
