Berita Harian launches website, mobile apps

Berita Harian (BH) officially launched its new website and mobile apps at the Jalan Besar Stadium yesterday, before the LionsXII's Malaysian Super League (MSL) match against Terengganu.

The Malay newspaper plans to shape a large portion of the website (beritaharian.sg) and app content towards the LionsXII and coach Fandi Ahmad.

Said BH editor Saat Abdul Rahman: "We find that when we write about football and especially stories on Fandi, the response is always good.Of course, the website and apps will cover current news and affairs as well.

"It's important we provide these platforms to stay relevant and to also attract newer, younger readers."

Acting Minister for Culture, Community and Youth Lawrence Wong, also Senior Minister of State for Communications and Information, graced the launch.

He said: "As Acting Sports Minister, I certainly appreciate Berita Harian for its support of local football and especially the LionsXII.

"BH is more than a newspaper; it's an important institution for the Malay community and has been a voice for Malays in Singapore for the past
(55 years)."
