Susilo has no regrets missing out on SEA Games

He came out of retirement last year lured by the prospect of competing at the SEA Games on home ground, and had been training with the national team.

But the 35-year-old tore a muscle in his hip two months ago and didn't even make the selections for the SEA Games squad earlier this year.

Despite missing out, the Republic's former world No. 6 shuttler Ronald Susilo said he has no regrets as he has nothing to prove.

"I had wanted to come back and play at the SEA Games at home, but it turned out that I was not fated to do so," said Susilo, who retired in 2010.

"But it is okay, I have nothing to prove in my career anyway."
