Arsenal fan Leona Lewis opens FA Cup Final
Perhaps British singer-songwriter Leona Lewis was Arsenal's lucky charm before last night's FA Cup win.
Lewis said beforehand that she was "so excited" about the performance, and it certainly looked like the 29-year-old was giving it her all when she took centrestage at Wembley Stadium on Saturday (May 17).
The former X Factor winner sang the national anthem in front of thousands of Arsenal and Hull City fans, and watched Arsenal win by three goals to two.
Leona had spoken earlier this week about her upcoming gig, saying: 'I’m so excited, I'm really looking forward to it.
In a Daily Mail report, she said: "I know it’s going to be a crazy atmosphere there so it’ll be fun. I’ve never done anything like it before so it’ll be a cool experience for me.
"My dad and my brothers are huge football fans so they’re really excited as well. On cup final day it was the only thing that was allowed to be on the TV and we’d all sit down and watch it. It has always been a big deal."
Except this time, Lewis was the opening act. Kudos.
