Bowlers stay in the hunt
Singapore's young bowlers remain in the hunt for a place in today's step-ladder finals of the Asian Schools Bowling Championships in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Kristin Quah finished the first block of the girls' Masters in fourth place with 1,966 pinfalls yesterday, 40 behind third-placed Mirai Ishimoto of Japan.
In the boys' Masters, Darren Ong is sitting in sixth place with 2,040 pinfalls, 42 shy of Thai Atchariya Cheng who occupies third spot.
The top-three keglers after today's second block of the Masters competition will move on to the step-ladder finals.
Singapore lead the medal standings of the eight-nation tournament with two gold and two bronze medals.
