Brazilian footballer could be banned for a year for clotheslining referee
Brazilian midfielder Meidson Maciel showed how samba football might not be his thing, when he inexplicably ran over to clothesline the referee during a game.
In a lower league encounter between Jacuipense and Juazeirense, Maciel took out his frustrations late on by taking on the referee in a WWE-styled move.
Even more amazing was the way in which the midfielder protested his innocence. The man in black calmly got up and reached into his back pocket.
Maciel’s Jacuipense went on to lose the game 3-1. It is understood that Maciel could be banned for a year and handed a hefty fine.
Perhaps it’s time for a career switch, Maciel?
