A FAALTLESS HIT-OUT
The consistent FAALTLESS is ready to give another faultless display of his winning ability.
Last Thursday, the Shane Baertschiger-trained three-year-old signalled his intention with a smart trial win.
Yesterday, the Australian-bred put the icing on the cake with a faultless hit-out with jockey Danny Beasley astride.
Turning on the pace from the backstraight, he picked up momentum and stretched out beautifully over the final 600m in 37.5sec. He pulled up well.
The going was good.
A sparingly raced sort, Faaltless has only had three starts for two wins and a second.
If you look at who beat him, then you will salute him.
It was none other than Emperor Max, who has since gone on to win three more races to make it four from four. That underscores Faaltless' form.
That defeat came on Oct 4 and Faaltless has not raced since.
He was given a break and has since been drilled for a winning comback.
He is engaged in the Graduation event over 1,200m and has only six rivals to contend with. He should win.
The other star performers were last-start winners GATO NEGRO and DANNY RICARDO.
Gato Negro sizzled with apprentice Tan Wei Li astride on Track 6 in 34.7.
The Alwin Tan-trained galloper was pulling away from his stablemate at the end of their workout.
BOGART (37.8) and TASHI (38.1), both engaged in the same Class 4 event over 1,200m on Friday, and also looked well.
But the trio probably have to beat trainer Stephen Gray's trial winner IMPEL, who arrived with a very good track record.
Danny Ricardo was taken out by winning jockey S John for a fast spin in 35.4, also on Track 6.
The Brian Dean-trained galloper won well with a giant run in the straight last start. He is running in Sunday's Class 4 event over 1,400m.
