Arsenal handed Ramsey boost
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is hopeful of having Aaron Ramsey available for selection to face Manchester City on Saturday.
The Welsh midfielder limped off the pitch with an ankle problem during his country's 2-1 win over Andorra in a Euro 2016 qualifier on Tuesday, prompting fears that he might miss the Gunners' key clash at the Emirates Stadium.
But the injury is believed to be a minor sprain, allowing Wenger a positive outlook on fielding the in-form Ramsey - who has scored twice in three English Premier League games.
The Frenchman said: "The first news is not bad and he will be assessed today. He has a little chance to be available for Saturday.
"He has an ankle sprain, but a minor one and we will know more today."
Hope
Ramsey, who also scored against City during their 3-0 Community Shield win, also believes he can win his fitness battle to face the EPL champions.
The 23-year-old said: "I could feel it (the injury), but hopefully it will be nothing and I'll be available for Saturday.
"Manchester City at home, those are the games you want to play in so hopefully it won't be a problem."
