This Chelsea fan's tickets just went to the dogs
You’ve heard about the excuse, “the dog ate my homework”.
But how about “the dog ate my tickets for Chelsea v Manchester United”?
That is the predicament Chelsea fan Charlie Edwards from Wales faces.
He spent £200 (S$407) on tickets for the big match at Stamford Bridge on April 19 for himself, his girlfriend Ceri, son Zack, aged 10, and daughter Ellie, 6.
But unfortunately, his 1-year-old West Highland Terrier, Elsa chewed up the tickets when they came via the mail.
Charlie and his family were out at the time.
Now the man from Wrexham is hoping that Chelsea buys his excuse that his dog ate his tickets and issues him a new set.
He told Metro: “The whole family had been looking forward to getting tickets for the United game.
“We could not believe it when we saw what Elsa had done, the club does not automatically issue replacements so we hope they will believe our excuse that the dog ate them.”
