Furious Villa fan calls player a fraud, gets a lunch date

With Aston Villa rooted to the bottom of the English Premier League table, it is easy to understand the frustrations of the supporters.

And the fury when they realised that Charles N’Zogbia, one of the club’s top earners on more than £63,000 ($128,000) a week, plans to see out his contract despite having no future at Villa.

MirrorSport recently quoted a source as saying: “Charles seems quiet happy just turning up for training.

“Some days he is even in and out of the training ground before midday.

“In the international break when he gets a few days off he sometimes pops over to Miami.”

It was why an angry fan by the name of Kirsten took to Twitter to voice her displeasure at the controversial Frenchman, calling him “a fraud”.

@CharlesNzo what an absolute fraud you are. “Some days he is even in and out of the training ground ground before midday."

And when Kirsten later posted another tweet to suggest that she will “forgive him” if N’Zogbia takes her out for lunch, the footballer replied: “Let’s do it”.

N’Zogbia has since deleted his tweet, although Kirsten is confident that the lunch date is on.

She went on to tweet: “I can confirm that it looks like @CharlesNzo is keeping to his word. I won’t say too much more for now!”

The former Newcastle star moved from Wigan to Villa in 2011 for a fee of £9.5million.

Villa, eager to free up funds to boost their squad, have unsuccessfully tried to pay off the 29-year-old player, whose contract ends this summer.

Currently training with Villa’s Under-21 side, he has made only two senior appearances this season.
