The Philippines secured a Suzuki Cup semi-final berth with a 4-0 thrashing of Indonesia on Tuesday evening at the My Dinh Stadium in Hanoi.
In-form attacker Phil Younghusband opened the scoring in the 16th minute of the Group A fixture with a penalty after Firman Utina tripped Misagh Bahdoran in the box.
Manuel Ott scored the goal of the match with a sizzling strike from the edge of the box after 52 minutes before Martin Steuble caught Indonesia off-guard to score from a quickly-taken free-kick in the penalty box in the 68th minute.
Robert Gier capped the scoring for the Azkals in the 79th minute by bundling home the rebound from his own header off the post from close range.
As if the scoreline weren't humbling enough for Indonesia, the Merah Putih had to finish the match with 10 men after Rizky Pora was sent off in the 73rd minute for hauling down Younghusband as the last man.
The result sees the Philippines qualify for the the semi-finals for a third consecutive tournament regardless of the result from their final group match against hosts Vietnam on Friday.
Meanwhile, Indonesia's hopes of advancement hang in the balance ahead of their final group clash with Laos.
