Injury scare for City captain Kompany
Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany suffered an injury scare during a training session with the Belgium national team ahead of their friendly against Australia.
Belgian coach Marc Wilmots had tweeted that the centre-back was not at training and had "been taken to the hospital for a calf scan" earlier on Wednesday.
But the Red Devils boss posted a more optimistic message on the social media site.
Wilmots wrote: "Good news about the scan on Vincent Kompany.
"He will warm up tomorrow and then we will decide whether he can play.
"We are not going to take any unnecessary risks!"
The news will be music to City's ears, with the club due to face Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Chelsea in an eight-day span after the international break.
