SINGAPORE SELECTION 0
JUVENTUS 5
(Andrea Pirlo 17, 44-pen, Paul Pogba 48, Sebastian Giovinco 53, Kwadwo Asamoah 72)
Juventus romped to a 5-0 win over a Singapore Selection side in the first football match played at the new National Stadium on Saturday.
The Bianconeri's midfield maestro Andrea Pirlo etched his name in the history books by scoring the first goal on the new Kallang ground with a clever low free-kick from the edge of the area after 17 minutes.
The Italy international then converted a penalty just before half-time after Roberto Pereyra was fouled inside the box.
Pirlo's midfielder partner Paul Pogba added a third three minutes after the break when he was allowed to slalom into the penalty area to unleash a fierce drive that beat Hassan Sunny.
Sebastian Giovinco then showed great technique to volley home off a corner five minutes later before Kwadwo Asamoah capped the scoring in the 72nd minute.
