Golfer hits back at Twitter troll
Golfer Jason Dufner beat David Lingmerth with a two-hole play-off victory on Sunday (Jan 24), bringing his tally to four PGA Tour wins.
But, his mind was elsewhere — on a cheeky Twitter troll who had tweeted the golfer last month, asking him when he last won a tournament.
Dufner had replied him then, that it was a week ago at the Franklin Templeton Shootout, where he teamed up with Brandt Snedeker.
But, he was not quite done. After Sunday’s solo win, the American tweeted the troll again, “another one” with a picture of his trophy.
Wanting to have the last laugh, the troll responded to the 38-year-old, saying he was the motivation for the win.
In an another separate but just as hilarious trolling incident involving sports stars and fans, Stoke City striker Peter Crouch trolled a Chelsea fan, who promised to get a tattoo of Crouch’s face on his butt when he turns 17, if the Blues lost against the Potters in a League Cup clash last October.
So when the game ended with Stoke winning the clash 5-4 on penalties, Crouch issued a brilliant response: “When’s your birthday, my friend?”
