He's employed! David Moyes is coach of Spanish club Real Sociedad

Former Manchester United manager David Moyes has agreed to take over as head coach of Real Sociedad until 30 June 2016, the La Liga club announced in a statement on Monday (Tuesday Nov 11).

Moyes, 51, replaces Jagoba Arrasate,  the club said on their website.

Arrasate was sacked by the San Sebastian-based club on Nov 2 after a poor start to the season.

Real Sociedad are currently languishing in 15th place in the La Liga, with only two wins out of 11 games played.

Located near the border with France, the club produced current Bayern Munich player and Spanish national player, Xabi Alonso.

Moyes, meanwhile, would probably want to forget the disastrous season he had in charge of Manchester United.

He made his reputation as a top-flight coach in his previous job at Everton. Under the Scot's watch, the club finished in the top six in the Premier League four times.

He moved to Old Traffod to replace the retiring Alex Ferguson on a six-year deal in May last year but left in April after less than a season at the helm.

In 51 matches in charge at Old Trafford, the club won 27, drew nine and lost 15.
