Mesut Ozil is having an affair with his ex, says German defender Christian Lell

Former Bayern Munich player Christian Lell has accused Mesut Ozil of having an affair with his ex-girlfriend.

This comes amid speculation that the Arsenal star has split with his partner Mandy Capristo, 24.

Capristo, a German singer, has deleted all photographic evidence of her relationship with Ozil from her Instagram account.

German tabloid Bild claimed that Ozil's alleged break-up with Capristo was "far from amicable".

Lell, 30, who now plays for Spanish side Levante, is reported to have alleged that Ozil has "always" been in a relationship with Melanie Rickinger, the right-back's former partner, wrote Bleacher report.

Lell is said to have made the claims on his Facebook account. He allegedly sent a Whatsapp message detailing Ozil's closeness to Rickinger when both were in relationships with other people.

Also, it's Ozil's birthday today (October 15). He turned 26.
