Big chance for trial winner Spume

Wednesday's South Africa (Greyville) preview

RACE 1 (1,000M)

(9 ) CANDY GALORE showed above-average form when winning her Barrier Trial (albeit from draw one) and then running a good third in her debut proper. If she doesn't race greenly, she can score here.

(11) SILKY SPEECH showed good pace from a wide draw in her Trial and can only improve. She has a better draw.

(10) KAZAN is a well-bred Silvano and has a plum draw.

(1) LUNEBURG, (2) ROY'S MARLIN and (5) GOLDEN CLOUD can show.

RACE 2 (1,400M)

(11) SPUME confirmed a promising Barrier Trial with a good effort in a competitive race second time out. Should be cherry ripe now.

(1) INTERNET KID was beaten by youngsters in his last two. If luck is on his side, he can get his head in front.

(10) PADDINGTONS LUCK has been far back in both runs but must enjoy this trip on pedigree. (2) GRANDE MAESTRO has a say.

RACE 3 (1,600M)

(10) FACE OF AN ANGEL was finishing nicely from near last, making good improvement back on the Poly last time. He has a plum draw here and should have every chance.

(6) MAJESTICA was not disgraced over 1,500m a few runs back and would have got stronger. Has a say.

(2) KINGLASSIE will relish being back at this track.

(8) SUMMER DAY and (7) SAIL INTO THE SUN have claims.

RACE 4 (1,600M)

(3) MY ZINZARA has become a more focused sort with blinkers fitted. She can complete a hat-trick as the trip looks to suit the backmarker.

(5) MARA is finally back at the track where she won her only race and has not been disgraced on the turf either. She has an ideal draw.

(1) ROY'S VOGUE drew slightly better and could come out firing after rest. She has ability. Many with claims otherwise.

RACE 5 (1,000M)

(2) SOCRATES was impressive in his two Poly races. He could remain unbeaten on the synthetic but has drawn wide after rest.

(7) SAVEA could be anything. He showed potential as a juvenile in the West Cape and has been gelded, so could be heading back to top form.

(5) LESLIE SHADOWLINER and (8) BIG KING renew rivalry.

(1) AL CIBERANO has the best draw.

RACE 6 (1,800M)

(2) HIGH GREEN ran a fair race after rest. He has drawn ideally again and should have every chance if settling.

(12) YOUNG GUN won easily showing maturity and, if not needing further, could go all the way again.

(6) REGENT SEVEN is knocking hard on the door but has a wide draw.

(4) STORM RULER must benefit from an apprentice claim.

(1) HAYLOR is best rated and top weighted.

RACE 7 (1,900M)

(2) INTO THE GROOVE was beaten a neck after rest over this track and trip last time. Her previous form is also sensible and she should have every chance here.

(4) ROMAN COURTESAN made improvement last time and has a decent draw so must be respected.

(1) TANAMI is back at her best track and could get into the money.

(3) UNDER THE STARS and (8) QUAKESHAKE seem capable of better.
