Skywalk wins in style

Skywalk steps up his preparation for his comeback with an impressive all-the-way trial victory at Kranji yesterday.

Ridden by Vlad Duric, the James Peters-trained four-year-old charged up with his head in the air and gradually built a big lead. He clocked the fastest time of the six trials, in 59.71sec for 1,000m on the Polytrack.

Skywalk, who has three wins and three seconds from nine starts, has not raced since his fourth to Countofmontecristo in the Group 3 Singapore Three-Year-Old Sprint over 1,200m on March 26.

Sill looking fat, the trial would have shaved off some rough edges.
