The Fandis have landed at Bishan Stadium.

Ikhsan Fandi, the second son of Singapore legend Fandi Ahmad, has joined his older brother Irfan at S.League giants Home United.

The 16-year-old attacking midfielder will link up with the Protectors' Prime League side, but is expected to train regularly and feature with the first team under head coach Philippe Aw.

Ikhsan, whose signing follows days after Irfan's causing the club to dub the duo "Double Dragon" after the video game series from the '80s, joins Home at the end of a two-and-a-half-year stint in Chile with Universidad Catolica.

The club's Facebook post about their newest recruit read: "Ikhsan plays behind the striker, leveraging on his vision, brilliant ball control and the ability to dribble, shoot and pass over both short and long distances.

"His inclusion in the Prime League squad will see him training regularly with the S.League team and thus having a chance to be featured in the S. League.

"This opportunity to play at a higher level so early in his career will surely be of great benefit to Ikhsan's development.

"Together with Irfan, the 'Double Dragons' look set to be the next pair of siblings to take Bishan by storm."

Here are three things about Ikhsan that we've learnt over the years.

1) HE SCORED A PERFECT HAT-TRICK AGAINST LIVERPOOL'S U-15s

In August last year, Ikhsan returned to Singapore to represent the Singapore Under-16s at the Lion City Cup.

While both of Singapore's teams failed to sparkle at the tournament, Ikhsan played a blinder against the U-15 side of English Premier League giants Liverpool.

The fleet-footed attacker notched a perfect hat-trick at the Jalan Besar Stadium by scoring with his left foot, then his right before topping it off with a header.

Amazingly, Ikhsan's heroics were only enough to earn the Cubs a 3-3 draw before the Reds won the match 5-3 on penalties to advance to the final.

2) HE HAS BEEN COURTED BY SOME OF EUROPE'S TOP CLUBS

Fandi's sons have certainly been blessed with their father's football genes.

They might only be teens, but Ikhsan and Irfan can already boast that they were courted by European giants like Valencia, AC Milan, Chelsea and Arsenal.

Aside from being handed trials at those four clubs, the pair have were also offered places at Fandi's former club Groningen when the Dutch side offered Singapore's favourite footballing son a coaching position there.

3) HE'S BEEN LIKENED TO A YOUNG FRANCESCO TOTTI

Back in 2010 when Ikhsan and Irfan were given trials by Arsenal and Chelsea at the International Soccer Festival in Surrey, coaches from Italy also noticed the two Fandi brothers as they shone for Arsenal Soccer School Indonesia.

As Ikhsan, then 11, dazzled his opponents with his silky footwork and predatory eye for goal, the Italians were so impressed that they likened him a young Francesco Totti.
