Bidding farewell? Aussie-bound Safuwan posts emotional Instagram message
He's set to join A-League side Melbourne City in a move which he described as a dream come true.
But Safuwan Baharudin still clearly has the LionsXII in his heart.
The Singapore defender posted an emotional message to his former teammates on Instagram.
The post, which has since been deleted, features a collage of LionsXII team photos including a shot of them lifting the Malaysian Super League trophy with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
In the caption, Safuwan referred to his LionsXII colleagues as the people who made him laugh and cry on and off the pitch.
He also mentioned his pride at helping the team win the 2013 MSL title at the Jalan Besar Stadium in front of their 12th man, the team's fans.
Safuwan signed off on the post saying: "Missing you LionsXII."
