Guess where Ronaldinho's at? Mexican club Queretaro
Brazilian legend Ronaldinho made a surprise move to Mexico’s first division on Friday, joining the White Roosters of Queretaro.
The 34-year-old former World Cup winner and two-time world player of the year had been without a club since leaving Brazilian outfit Atletico Mineiro in late July.
Team owner Olegario Vazquez wrote on Twitter: "I am pleased to share with you that from today, the star @10ronaldinho is a rooster."
Grupo Imagen, the media group that owns the club, confirmed the signing.
Ronaldinho, whose full name is Ronaldo de Assis Moreira, said during an unrelated event with students in Mexico City after his signing was made official: "Mexico is so special that I hope to live here."
He tweeted that his shirt number would be 49 and that he was "very motivated" to represent the club.
