Lampard must take pay cut for Chelsea stay - reports
Frank Lampard must take a pay cut if he wishes to remain in the English Premier League with Chelsea.
The England midfielder, who turns 36 in June, has been at Stamford Bridge since 2001 when he joined the Blues from West Ham United for £11 million.
However, Lampard's contract with Chelsea is expiring and will have to accept a figure less than his current £150,000 per week wage in order to continue his 13-year association with the club, according to reports in the British media.
Blues boss Jose Mourinho has expressed in interest in keeping the club's all-time record goal scorer, who has netted 211 times in 649 games for Chelsea, for another season with a view to bring him on board the club's coaching staff.
