Ronaldo teases United fans about potential Old Trafford return
Cristiano Ronaldo, you tease.
With Manchester United fans still scratching their heads on how their overhauled team will line up in search of their first win of the season, their former idol has once again spoken of his love for the English Premier League club.
The Portuguese forward, who left United to join Real Madrid in 2009 for a then world record fee of £80 million ($164.8m), also reiterated his wish to return to the club that propelled him into the big time - some day.
Wish
Speaking to the Mail Online, Ronaldo, 29, said: "I love Manchester. Everyone knows that - I have said it many times. Manchester is in my heart.
"I left many good friends there, the supporters are amazing and I wish I can come back one day.
"I am happy here in Real Madrid and have four more years, but in the future you never know because they treated me unbelievably there."
While it would be hard to fathom Los Blancos letting go of their superstar, Ronaldo could be seriously angling for a move.
The Sporting Lisbon youth product recently expressed his unhappiness at Real's willingness to sell Xabi Alonso to Bayern Munich and Angel di Maria to United.
After the Red Devils' recent splurge, next year's summer transfer window now looks to be another intriguing one for United fans.
