Suarez wins fan award
It may not take away the sting of losing out on the English Premier League, but at least Liverpool's Luis Suarez has won one more award to help ease that pain.
After winning the EPL Player of the Year Award earlier in the month, the Uruguayan striker scooped up the fans' equivalent when he was named the FTBpro PFA Fan Player of the Season.
The award is based solely on fan votes and is backed by EPL clubs and players.
Suarez played a pivotal role in Liverpool's charge for the Premier League title as he topped the league's scoring charts with 31 goals.
While the Reds ultimately finished second, the 27-year-old's mesmerising ability with the ball and spectacular goals was recognised by supporters, who crowned him the the league's standout performer.
