WATCH: Juan Mata surprises man on his 15-year anniversary working at Old Trafford
Juan Mata has delighted Manchester United fans all over the world with his brace against Liverpool over the weekend.
But, the Spaniard is not done yet.
He recently paid a visit to a Man United employee, who has just completed 15 years’ service at Old Trafford.
The ebullient midfielder handed Jonathan Flood a signed United shirt with “Mata 8” on the back and a bottle of bubbly as a gesture of appreciation for Flood’s service.
“Thank you from all the players to you for working in the club. It’s a pleasure for us,” Mata told him.
United fans have taken to the 26-year-old star, whose popularity has been on the rise with his on-field displays as well as his off-field contributions.
Mata, who has a weekly blog with United’s official website, also delighted pupils at Button Lane Primary School in Wythenshawe when he visited them, and taught Spanish to children at the Swinton High School in Salford.
