S'pore swim champ Joseph Schooling wins bronze at Asian Games
Singapore Flyer Joseph Schooling has delivered yet again, this time at the Asian Games.
The 19-year-old won a bronze medal in the 200m butterfly final with a time of 1:57.54, as Japan's Daiya Seto took gold in 1:54.08, while compatriot Kenta Hirai won silver in 1:55.47.
Schooling becomes the first male Singaporean swimmer to win an Asian Games medal since Ang Peng Siong took gold in the 50m freestyle final in 1990.
Last month, Schooling was the first Singaporean to win a swimming medal at the Commonwealth Games when he won silver in the 100m butterfly final, which he should also contest in Incheon, South Korea.
