Lee wins to make it 5 wushu golds for S'pore
Singapore’s wushu captain Lee Tze Yuan came in top in the men’s Optional Taijiquan to add a fifth gold medal to Singapore’s wushu tally.
The 24-year-old exponent put on a stellar performance to score a 9.71, pipping Filipino Daniel Parantac (9.70) and Indonesian Fredy (9.69).
Earlier this afternoon, Valerie Wee capped off her final South-east Asia (SEA) Games appearance with a silver medal after scoring 9.71 in the women’s Optional Taijiquan category.
She lost out to Indonesia’s golden girl, Lindswell Kwok who scored 9.73 on her way to her second gold medal, while Malaysia’s Ng Shin Yii took home the bronze with a 9.69 effort.
