Singapore ran out 3-1 winners over Cambodia in a South-east Asia (SEA) Games football clash at the Jalan Besar Stadium today.

But the highlight of the 90 minutes was Sahil Suhaimi finally getting in among the goals in the closing stages to put the icing on the cake.

Aide Iskandar's men started brightly, but then began to struggle after Cambodia changed to a back five to play on the counter.

But Safirul Sulaiman broke the deadlock via a free-kick in the 45th minute, and Faris Ramli doubled the lead within seconds.

Chan Vathanakah pulled one back for Cambodia in the second half, before Sahil sealed the win in injury time with a well-placed shot after beating the offside trap.

Joseph Schooling has two more events left at the SEA Games.
